humour

One would expect buffoons like Jay Leno to find humour in older citizens using walkers, but when the New Yorker publishes a cartoon showing two older women duelling with furled umbrella and handbag and presumably expects it to provoke laughter one is forced to realize that subtelty in humour has been replaced by knee slapping , uninspired pie in the face idiocy. Yes, Chaplin might have done something similar but it would have had an element of grace. Does anybody remember grace?
